The Arctic and Antarctic Circles.

After researching all about The Arctic and Antarctica, in maths the children investigated circles. Everyone can now label the radius, diameter and circumference of a circle. The children realised that the radius is simply half of the diameter of a circle. Measuring the circumference wasn’t as easy, until some children realised that they could use string.

Consecutive numbers investigation. 

This is such a great investigation. We could continue it for weeks. Today, Year 6 have been working together to find patterns and ask questions about their results.
